Gemini is the air expression of Mercury, and it rules the third house, the seat of the mind, of how we take in the world and give it back as language. It is the disseminator, the connector, the one who moves between worlds with extraordinary ease. The archetype runs the full gamut, from the playful trickster to the double-crossing spy, and most Gemini placements have met both ends of that spectrum in themselves.

As the final sign of the first quadrant, this mutable energy also carries the weight of transition. It arrives at the threshold of the first solstice, the moment a season tips into its ending. There is something in Gemini that always knows it is standing between two things.
